Day 2 of the $50,000 High Roller competition has drawn to a close.
Japan’s Masashi Oya started Day 2 strong with 901,000 CHIPS but ended disappointingly in 16th place, netting a cash prize of $89,669. Similarly, South Korea’s Sung Joo Hyun managed to make it to the final table, but unfortunately ended in 8th place, walking away with a decent cash prize of $182,662.
A total of 124 players competed in the event, amassing a confirmed PRIZE POOL of an impressive $5,921,000. The ultimate victor will be rewarded with a whopping $1,546,024.
All Time Money List leader Justin Bonomo, who started Day 2 as the chip leader, managed to reach the final table but finished in 6th place. On the other hand, America’s Alex Foxen, who showed spectacular performance in the event, advances to Day 3 as the overall chip leader with an outstanding 13,340,000 CHIPS.
Each of the five players advancing to Day 3 has already secured a cash prize of $385,617.
