Japan’s Toshio Kataoka takes second place in the WPT TAIWAN Mini High Roller event This was the 15th event of the WPT TAIWAN and attracted a total of 39 players.
The event took place on August 13 and saw six players make the ITM and advance to Day 2, with Yuto Suzuki being the first player to be eliminated after the start of Day 2 and ending the event with NT$136,700 in prize money. Toshio Kataoka made it all the way to heads-up, but was unable to take home the trophy, finishing in second place for NT$538,000. The main event of WPT Taiwan will begin on the 17th.
There will be a total of three day1s, day1-a through day1-c, and the main event will be held for USD 1 MILLION GTD.
A large number of players from around the world are expected to participate, and it will be interesting to see how much higher the Japanese players will rank.
