-2023 World Series of Poker Event #29: $100,000 High Roller Day 1 Concludes, Masashi Oya Advances to Day 2 with 830,000 Chips-
The fourth in the series of six WSOP High Roller events, the $100,000 High Roller Day 1, has wrapped up. This High Roller event, a competition where top poker players from all over the globe gather at WSOP, is famous for its second highest buy-in after #40: $250,000 Super High Roller and for Aleksejs Ponakovs taking home his first bracelet, setting his best live cash record and winning a prize money of $1,897,363 last year.
Many world-class players, including Phil Ivey, dubbed the G.O.A.T of poker, Espen Jorstad, last year’s main event winner, Justin Bonomo and Bryn Kenney who are 1st and 3rd respectively on the All-Time Money List, and Daniel Negreanu, have joined the fray. Out of 79 players, 35 have advanced to Day 2.
This event, which recorded a higher number of entries on Day 1 than the 62 entries from last year’s WSOP $100,000 High Roller Event, is expected to form a prize pool higher than last year’s winning prize of $1,897,363 considering the possible registrations before the start of Day 2.
Masashi Oya, the only Japanese player to participate in this event, has advanced to Day 2 with 830,000 chips. If he wins this event, he is expected to renew his best live cash along with winning his first bracelet.

WSOPハイローラーシリーズの中で4番目に開催された100,000ドルハイローラーのDAY 1が終了しました。このハイローラーイベントは、#40：250,000ドルスーパーハイローラーに次ぐBUY-INの高さで知られています。昨年、Aleksejs Ponakovsが自身初のブレスレットと共に自身のベストライブキャッシュを更新し、1,897,363ドルもの賞金を獲得したイベントとして有名です。
