Ryutaro Suzuki

Ryutaro Suzuki is a 22-year-old young poker player and YouTuber from Japan who, according to Thehendonmob, made his first itm in the 2020 $100 No Limit Hold’em – WSOP MILLION$ online event and has been actively participating in poker tournaments offline since 2022, when he cashed in the JOPT tournament in Tokyo in January 2022.
Prior to this WSOP event, he finished RUNNER-UP at the APT Incheon MAIN EVENT in South Korea in January 2023, where he earned a career-high $34,098.
This is his first appearance at the 2023 WSOP since APT Incheon in January in the $3,000 Mixed Games: Nine Game Mix – 7-Handed EVENT, where he matched his career high and won his first bracelet.
Shimizu Nozomu

Shimizu Nozomu is a Japanese poker player who, according to Thehendonmob, has been traveling the world as an active poker player since his first itm at APT Incheon in 2019.
Nozomu Shimizu also achieved a career high at this WSOP Series along with Ryutaro Suzuki.
In January of 2023, he participated in the European Poker Tour in Monte Carlo, where he finished fourth in the €25,000 No Limit Hold’em, earning a career-high $194,273, but it wasn’t long before he reached a career-high at the 2023 WSOP Series with two final table appearances.
Nozomu Shimizu is the most decorated Japanese player at this year’s WSOP, with three ITMs and a total of $438,027 in cashes this series.

Sung Joo Hyun is currently the hottest poker player in South Korea.
South Korean poker player and YouTuber Sung Joo Hyun, who goes by the name Koreanmonkey, is currently the top earner among native South Korean players and is a WPL Team Pro alongside former StarCraft legend and South Korean player Lim Yo-hwan, better known by his nickname “boxer”.
Thehendonmob recorded his first ITM at the 2015 WSOP $777 No Limit Hold’em Lucky 7s and has been a consistent player ever since, winning his first bracelet at the 2020 WSOP Online $500 Deepstack No Limit Hold’em EVENT.
Since then, he has played all over the world, was named GPI National Player of the Year in 2021, and now has three ITMs and $244,538 in cashes at the 2023 WSOP Series, surpassing South Korean player Gap Yong Kim as the all-time leader in South Korean cashes at this WSOP Series.

Jinho Hong is a leading South Korean poker player and broadcaster.
He is a former professional StarCraft player and broadcaster who is known in South Korea by the number “2”. He has been a contestant on numerous survival programs in Korea, including The Genius, The Time Hotel, and Blood Game, and is currently an ambassador for 2ACE.
Last year, he won the $3,500 No-Limit Hold’em Championship at The Wynn Summer Classic for a career-high and $696,011 in prize money, and two weeks later he won the 2022 WSOP $1,979 No-Limit Hold’em – Poker Hall of Fame Bounty for his first bracelet.
Along with his two U.S. trophies last year, he was named the 2022 GPI National Player of the Year and is coming off a strong showing at this year’s 2023 WSOP.
He has two ITMs and $209,842 in career earnings in this series, while also winning two ITMs and $63,360 in the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series.
He is on pace to reach $2 million in career winnings based on his performance in this series, and if he does, he will join Sung Joo Hyun and Gab Yong Kim as the third South Korean player to reach $2 million in career winnings.
