The COLOSSUS event, one of the most beloved events at the WSOP, has come to a conclusion. The $400 Buy-in tournament recorded an astonishing number of entries, surpassing 15,000 participants, and featured thrilling battles for the coveted prize pool of $501,120 (approximately 72,350,000 ¥).
Dae Woong Song from Korea go on heads-up against Moshe Refaelowitz for a bracelet but unfortunately finished as the runner-up, earning a prize of $300,410 and achieving a career high.
Among the 84 players who advanced to Day 3, Toshimasa Sakato, the only Japanese player, finished the event in 12th place, just shy of the 10-player final table. He earned a prize of $29,420, surpassing his previous career high of $4,850, which he won in the APT NLH Event held in Korea in 2018.

The three-day-long Mixed Big Bet event has come to a close. In this event, seven different poker games were played in rotation. For more detailed information, you can refer to the event structure on the WSOP website.
Tamon Nakamura, a top-tier mixed game player from Japan, made it to Day 3 and finished in 20th place, earning a prize of $7,199. Tamon Nakamura has a track record of winning the NLH events at the 2018 APPT in Korea and the 2021 JOPT in Japan, as well as achieving two victories in the Mixed Game category of the 2022 PokerGO TOUR. Although he was eliminated in this event, his high ITM finish demonstrated his skills and showcased his prowess in Japan’s mixed game scene.

The Mini Main Event, which started on July 2nd, has concluded Day 2 with only five players remaining as they approach the final stages. Both Japanese and Korean players who advanced to Day 2 performed well, achieving ITM finishes and concluding the event with strong results.
On Day 2, a total of 11 Japanese players, including Hiroaki Yoshitake and Toru Ida, and three Korean players, including Seokjun Lee, cashed in the tournament.
Event #75: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship

Naoya Kihara, the bracelet winner from the 2022 WSOP $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Event, advanced to Day 3 with a slightly smaller stack of 765,000 CHIPS compared to the average stack of 874,737 CHIPS. As the 2023 WSOP approaches its final stages, the much-anticipated Main Event, considered the summer festival of the WSOP, has finally kicked off. The exact number of entries and the corresponding prize pool have not been tallied yet, and detailed information will be revealed in the next day’s article. The Main Event of the 2022 WSOP saw great success with 8,663 entries, a prize pool of $80,782,475, and a first-place prize of $10,000,000.
Throughout Day 1a, player Shota Nakanishi showcased his skills. As the bracelet winner of the 2022 WSOP Short Deck Event, he consistently remained in the top ranks, alternating between the chip leader and second place from Blind Level 3 onwards. The current average stack is 89,875 CHIPS, and the chip counts of surviving Japanese and Korean players are summarized in the table below.
