UK & Ireland Poker Tour

The UKIPT is a long-established brand of UK poker tournaments that started in 2009. The tournament went on hiatus for a while, with the last series finishing in 2016, but was revived in April of last year after a six-year hiatus.

In the early days of the brand, it ran in one-year seasons, with the final series of each season co-located with PokerStars’ flagship tournament, the EPT, and culminating in a championship-style event. The UKIPT Season 1 Main Event, EPT London, amassed a prize pool of around £4.1 million, and was won by Scotland’s David Vamplew, who took home the £900K first prize. Runner-up was Indonesia’s John Juanda, the No. 2 player on the Asian All Time Money List, who took home £545K.
