The crowning jewel of the WSOP, the Ladies Championship, has been crowned. Tamar Abraham of the United States won a heads-up battle with Day 4 chip leader Shiina Okamoto to earn her first bracelet and a $192,167 first-place prize.
Japan’s Shiina Okamoto earned a career-high $118,768 for her run in the RUNNER-UP, but fell just short of earning her first bracelet.
The event was streamed live on POKER GO YOUTUBE and was closely watched around the world, including Japan and Korea.
It was very interesting to watch the tense and concentrated moments of all the players in real time, as it was the first bracelet of their careers, no matter who won.
Event #70: $400 Colossus – DAY2

Day 2 of the hugely popular Colossus event, which breaks the all-time entry record every year, has come to an end.
This year’s event saw 2,314 more entries than last year, bringing the total to a staggering 15,879.
1,980 players made it to DAY2, but only two players from Korea and Japan made it to DAY3.
Toshimasa Sakato from Japan finished in 5th place overall with 15,925,000 chips and Dae Woong Song from South Korea finished in 26th place overall with 9,475,000 chips, earning a $5,930 first-place prize.

Day 2 of the Mixed Big Bet has come to an end. Japan’s Tamon Nakamura advances to day 3 with 241,000 CHIPS.
Erick Lindgren and Koray Aldemir The event, which featured a strong field of players, ended Day 2 with 24 players remaining.
Tamon Nakamura doesn’t have a lot of chips, but it will be interesting to see if he can bring home the Japanese bracelet once again.

Day 1 of the hugely popular Mini Main Event concluded today at the WSOP with a massive lineup at the WSOP Convention Center.
A number of players from Korea and Japan also advanced to Day 2, with Seokjun Lee of Korea finishing 19th overall with 1,840,000 in chips and Kenji Yamase of Japan finishing 36th overall with 1,575,000 in chips.
The event will run until Day 4 and the winner of the event will take home a bracelet and $549,555 in prize money.
