Day 1 of the Eureka Main Event closed with 2,659 entries across four qualifiers, and a total of 399 players secured their ITMs and advanced to Day 2.
A total of three players from South Korea and Japan qualified for Day 2, with Hwany Lee from South Korea advancing to Day 2 with the most chips, 294,000.
Hwany Lee is coming off a career-high €63,000 first-place finish at the EPT Barcelona in the previous series, and has also performed well at the WSOP Online Main Event recently, earning $50K for his efforts.

In the 8-Game event, Korea’s Cho WooRam was unable to take home the trophy as he finished runner-up.
After a lengthy three-hour heads-up battle with Benny Glaser, #9 on the England All Time Money List and arguably the best Mix Game player in the world with five WSOP bracelets, the winner was crowned and Benny took home his eighth EPT trophy.
Runner-up Cho WooRam earned $6,820 for the event.
