Q. Obara “Misawa “Jun, first of all, congratulations on winning this HIGHROLLER KNOCKOUT EVENT.
Obara “Misawa” Jun, please introduce yourself.
A. Thank you very much. Hello, my name is Jun “Misawa” Obara. My name is Misawa and my name is Jun Obara. I have been playing poker for about 6 years.
Q. I heard that you are a poker instructor and commentator in Japan.
A. Yes, I have been teaching poker in Japan for about 6 years. I originally started coaching 3 years ago under the sponsorship of a company. At that time, I was running my own e-commerce site for trading cards, but due to the Corona Disaster, the site lost its contents, so I am now coaching as my own corporate business.
Q. Obara Jun also made the final table of the Main Event at last year’s EPT Prague, and is well known as a player who left a strong impression on many poker players.
And this is the first trophy you have won in a long time since the APT SINGLEDAY HIGHROLLER in Korea last year, what are your impressions?
A. I was really over the top at the EPT, and the result was too good to be true. After that, I had a hard time winning Heads-Up, but I am very happy to win the trophy for the first time in a long time. Even though it took me until 4:00 in the morning, many of my friends cheered me on, and I think that’s why I was able to win this trophy. I really appreciate it.
Q. After this APPT series is over, where is your next destination for the poker tour?
A. We are planning to go to the APT Incheon and the WPT Main Tour Gold Coast. Depending on how I coordinate with my work in Japan, I would like to go overseas at least once a month.
Q. Obara “Misawa” Jun, do you have any goals that you would like to achieve in the end during your participation in the poker tour?
A. Before I got married, my immediate goal was to win the highest prize money ranking in Japan, but now I am more focused on being active in various fields as a poker player and protecting my family.That said, I will never forget the frustration I felt at the EPT, so winning the Main Event trophy is a goal that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Q. Last question, when and why did you start being called “Misawa”?
A. The name “Misawa” comes from a comic book character named “Misawa in Hell. I started using that name in poker spots, and it has become a common name.

有難う御座います。こんにちは。みさわこと小原順と申します。ポーカー歴は6年程です。
②日本でポーカーの講師や解説をされていると聞いていますが、コーチングなどご自身の仕事について聞かせてください。
はい。元々3年前にスポンサー企業の元コーチングを始めました。
その当時は自身の法人でトレーディングカード売買のECサイトを運営しておりましたが、コロナ禍の影響でコンテンツが無くなってしまったため、今は自身の法人事業としてコーチングを行っております。
③また、昨年のEPTプラハでメインイベントのファイナルテーブルに参加し、多くのポーカープレイヤーに強い印象を残した選手として有名です。
そして昨年韓国で行われたAPT SINGLEDAY HIGHROLLER以来、久しぶりに獲得したトロフィーですが、感想をお聞かせください。
EPTでは本当に実力以上の上振れが続き、出来すぎな結果でした。
その後なかなかヘッズアップを勝つことが出来ず苦しい展開でしたが、久し振りにトロフィーを獲得する事が出来て本当に嬉しく思っております。
朝の4時までかかったにも関わらず沢山の友人が応援してくれて、そのお陰で獲得できたトロフィーだと思います。本当に感謝しています。
④今回のAPTシリーズが終了した後、次のポーカーツアーの行き先はどこですか？
APT仁川、WPTメインツアーのゴールドコーストを予定しております。日本での仕事との調整次第ですが月1回は海外に行きたいですね。
⑤Obara”Misawa”Jun選手がポーカーツアーに参加する中で、最終的に達成したい目標があれば教えてください。
結婚する前は自身の賞金ランキング日本一というのが当面の目標でしたが、今はポーカープレイヤーとして多方面で活躍し家族を守る方にベクトルが向くようになってきました。
とはいってもEPTでの悔しさは忘れられないので、メインイベントのトロフィーを獲得するのが一生掛けての目標ですね。
⑥最後の質問ですが、いつ頃から、何故、”Misawa”と呼ばれるようになったのですか
由来は地獄のミサワというマンガのキャラクターからです。その名前をポーカースポットで使うようになり定着してしまいました。
