The EPT Barcelona, the largest series hosted by PokerStars, kicked off on August 21st. The main event of this series, which is set to run until September 3rd according to the local date, is expected to attract the attention of numerous tourists.

Last year’s 2022 EPT Barcelona Main Event recorded the largest live tournament entry in PokerStars history. Compared to the 6,313 entries in the 2022 Estrellas Barcelona Main Event, this year’s 2023 Estrellas Barcelona Main Event concluded with a remarkable 7,398 entries, surpassing the previous record by a significant margin.

The Day 3 of the 2023 EPT Barcelona ESPT Main Event has concluded. Three players from Korea advanced to Day 3, and all of them finished in the money, concluding the tournament on that day. Eight players from Korea, including Hanseok Ko, and six players from Japan, including Yuya Kita, cashed in during this event.

The €25,000 buy-in Single Day Event, NL Hold’em, has wrapped up. Competitors, including 2023 WPT Korea Alpha8 for One Drop Event winner Steve O’Dwyer, participated in this 25K NLH event. David Yan from New Zealand emerged as the champion, earning a prize of €260,899. David Yan had previously secured a victory in this year’s Triton Event held in London.

From Korea, player Hyunsup Kim reached the Final Table, finishing in 4th place and earning a prize of €93,900. Hyunsup Kim is ranked as the top player for Korea in the 2023 Player of the Year rankings.
